After a violent altercation that occurred in the region on Sunday, the police in Jamestown, Accra, have detained about ten people.
The incident that is claimed to have been started by a chieftaincy quarrel resulted in the burning of a car and the breaking of the windows of other vehicles.
Following the event, there had been a significant security deployment at the Jamestown castle during a tour to the neighborhood.
Nii Ayitey Konko V, the priest of the Jamestown Palace, urged the government and opinion leaders to intervene and settle the chieftaincy issue in the region.
He related how Asher, a man claiming to be a priest and the legitimate successor to the Jamestown throne, repeatedly attacked the Palace with land guards in an effort to become king.
