New Patriotic Party (NPP) Presidential candidate aspirant and Member of Parliament (MP) for Assin Central Hon Kennedy Agyapong has revealed that he once lost a woman he was dating all because of huge investment he had done in the NPP party during the 1992 general elections.

Speaking in an interview with NET 2 TV, the businessman justified why he deserves to contest the upcoming presidential primaries due to his past investment.

He further indicated that, his struggle for the party in the past 30 years made him to lose his fiancé at a point, because he went broke after investing heavily in the party.

“I was with madam Stella in1992, though I had others elsewhere. When we (NPP) lost the election in 1992, the Ghana woman took my tickets, it made me to stay in the country for eight months. I lost my job in the US and went back to drive taxis in search for another money because all my investment had gone into NPP during the 1992 elections. The other woman left me because I got broke after that investment but Stella stayed. She saw the huge sums of MONEY I brought to Ghana to invest into NPP – she told me just after the election that, by their fruits, you shall know them and left. Stella forgave me. Because of NPP, I lost the woman, I lost my office. I returned back to my taxi business to get some more money” he said.

He added that, he is of high confident that, the party delegates would reward him well on day of the presidential primaries for the 2024 general elections due to his track record in the party.

“Today I am here to share my experience and commitment to party people for them to know that, I have served the party well. I have served NPP and I deserve to contest on NPP ticket and I will win” he added.
