The Minority in Parliament has announced a major reshuffle in their rankings and seating arrangement on the floor when the house resumes later this month.
This they say is a new strategy to reignite and rebrand as a much more formidable force to reckon with and also to flaw their opponents.
According to the leadership of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) side of the house, it has become more than necessary to introduce fresh limbs with fire and fury new faces with high adrenaline to champion their course and to outclass their opponents hence the need to make such key changes in their rank and file.
Member of Parliament (MP) for the Ajumako-Enyan-Esiam Constituency and a former Deputy Minister of Finance – Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson, Kwame Governs Agbodza – MP for the Adaklu Constituency and Dr. Zanetor Agyeman-Rawlings, MP for Klottey-Korle Constituency are going to occupy the front seats joining their Leader, Haruna Iddrisu- MP for Tamale South in the stead of the usual front liners James Klutse Avedzi- the Deputy Minority Leader and Mohammed-Mubarak Muntaka – the Minority Chief Whip.
Though it is reported that James Clutse Avedzi will be bowing out of the house in the next elections, it is still unclear the rationale behind that of the Chief Whip and Member of Parliament for the Asawase constituency in the Ashanti Region, Mohammed-Mubarak Muntaka, except speculations that seek to say he has fallen out of favour with the speaker, something the minority consider inimical to the orderly progress of their course and way of business in the house especially ahead of a very crucial general elections come 2024 against the backdrop of a hard fought elections in 2020 resulting in a hinge parliament even from opposition.
