“Come clean on your mansion acquisition” – Murtala tackles Kissi Agyabeng

Member of Parliament for Tamale Central, Ibrahim Murtala Muhammed has questioned an acquisition of mansion property allocated at North Legon said to be owned by the Special Prosecutor, Kissi Agyabeng.

The National Democratic Congress lawmaker on Good Morning Ghana challenged the Special Prosecutor to come clean on his mansion acquisition, adding that, “he is not above the law”.

In addition, Ibrahim Murtula questioned why he encroached other portions of the land said to be owned by a woman who was staying behind.

“I want to use this medium to ask the Special Prosecutor that in the interest of transparency and integrity on his office, he should answer these questions. Did he build that mansion with full security before he was appointed Special Prosecutor? Did he encroach a portion of the plot belonging to a woman behind the house or not? If his answers are that, he built the house before appointed Special Prosecutor – I have no problem. But if he says the house was built before appointed Special Prosecutor, I will want him to be investigated. He is not above the law – not even the President is above the law. I am asking all these questions because for myself and many Ghanaians -we want to be sure we have somebody with integrity holding the office of Special Prosecutor” he said.
